Brad Buchter,  Head Coach

Coach Brad has a long list of accomplishments in the sport of diving beginning in high school as a four time PIAA finalist in the State Championships, all the way to the Big East Championships while at the University of Pittsburgh.  He has coached at Spring Grove HS, Red Land HS, Cedar Cliff HS, Spring Grove Age Group, West Shore Recreation Diving, started an advanced diving dry-land training program at the ASAP Gymnastics Facility and has coached numerous Age Group divers who qualified for Spring & Summer East Nationals and also Speedo Jr. National Championships; some even qualified for international competition.

Shelly Buchter, Assistant Coach

Coach Shelly comes to the sport of diving through its related discipline - Gymnastics.  She competed for the University of Pittsburgh and was named MVP in 1987-88.  She also served as the Co-captain in 1989-90 and Captain in 1988-89.  She was awarded the Outstanding Performance & Dedication to Athletic Excellence Award by the Mon Valley Chapter University of Pittsburgh Golden Panthers and the J. Clyde Barton Award by the University of Pittsburgh Varsity Letter Club.  In 2002-03, Coach Shelly coached Gymnastics classes at Central Pennsylvania Academy of Gymnastics and has been coaching competitive gymnastics Levels 4-6 at ASAP.  She has coached numerous Age Group divers who qualified for Spring & Summer East Nationals and in 2007, she coached age group divers in the top twelve finish on 5 & 7 meter platform at Speedo Jr. National Championships.

Coach Shelly's certifications include US Gymnastics National Safety, USA Gymnastics Instructor, US Diving Level 1 Spotting Training for Coaches.  She is Certified for Red Cross CPR, First Aid and a Certified US Diving Coach

Kara Seaton Assistant Coach

Coach Kara has been involved in diving for over 12 years.  She was a member of the Rocky Run Diving team in West Chester, and the Martin's Dam Swim club diving team.  She held team and league records for both clubs; many of which stand to this day.  She attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine where she was a member of the diving team for four years. To her credit, she remained undefeated in all but one event in the four years she competed.  She also earned six (6) All-American Awards and three (3) Academic All-American awards.  Coach Bates held both team and pool records at Bates, as well as at several other pools by the time she graduated in 2005.  She has taught diving lessons for many years and has coached clinics at Martin's Dam and West Chester.  She was the diving coach at Martin's Dam for 4 years.  When not involved with diving or coaching, Kara's time is mostly involved as a third year medical student at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey.

Greg Sheibley, Assistant Coach

Greg Sheibley is the latest addition to the quality coaching staff of the ACWS Diving Team.  Mr. Sheibley brings 25 years of accomplished diving experience to our club and greatly increases the value of our diving program.

Coach Sheibley is a 1983 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School.  His diving career started long before high school, where at the age of 7, he was a member of the Cumberland Valley Age Group Team.  Keep that in mind all of you young ACWS divers.

As a high school diver, he was a finalist in the State Championships during both his junior and senior years.  After graduation, he attended the Rochester Institute of Technology where he continued diving for two seasons.  During this period, he earned All-American honors and holds both school and pool records.

Over the past 20 years, Coach Sheibley has coached at both the high school and college levels.  His most recent assignment was at Northern York High School where he coached for the past six seasons.

When he is not coaching, Mr. Sheibley is the owner of a graphic design & advertising business: 206 Design - located in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Coach Gregg is married and has three children.
