Dave Horton,
Head
Coach
Coach Dave has been with the ACWS for
several years and has proven to be a highly effective and motivating force
to our younger swimmers. Dave is a certified USA Swimming Coach
and can usually be found in the water
with the swimmers, providing hands on instruction to help our younger
swimmers to learn their strokes and the mechanics of the turn.
Coach Dave has experience in sports coaching, however he came to swimming later
in his coaching career, and has proved to be more than capable. He lives in York Haven with his wife
(Susan) and three children: Alyssa, David & Laura, of which David is
an ACWS
swimmer. |
Jeff Lyden, Assistant
Coach
Jeff
Lyden has been assisting with coaching duties for several seasons with the ACWS. A competitive swimmer in his earlier days, Jeff is familiar
with the importance of good stroke technique, conditioning and a
positive winning attitude. Mr. Lyden enjoys all sports and has
coached basketball, baseball and soccer. Not lost in all of the
sports is his belief that a good athlete also has to be a good student.
To that end, it is his goal to have a positive impact on the lives of
kids by caring and motivating them to work hard to achieve their goals.
He
is involved in Boy Scouts of America - Troop 54, and active in Highland
PTO and the Lemoyne Middle School.
Coach Lyden lives in Camp Hill with his wife Jennifer and two children:
Eric and Rachel both of whom swim for the ACWS. |
