How do I sign up for USA Swimming?

Registrations for the 2010 USA Swimming season are now due.  Registration forms are available to print from our website: Form . Please place completed form and check for $57 to ACWS in the swim team mailbox folder marked “Completed USA Registrations”.  Any questions, contact Mike Sherbo via email or by calling 737-7002.  If you previously were a USA Swimmer under the ACWS and are now swimming unattached, you must also complete and submit with your registration, a transfer release form - Form

US Swimming is an optional activity for those ACWS swimmers who would like to expand their competitive swimming experience beyond the league dual meet competitions.  It offers swimmers of all ability levels the opportunity to compete against swimmers throughout the United States through USS regionally sanctioned Invitational Swim Meets hosted by USS affiliated swim clubs.  ACWS is situated in the Middle Atlantic Division and swimmers who register with USS are usually designated with an MA after their names in swim competitions.  All times recorded at USS sanctioned meets are maintained in a national database and are utilized for seeding of the swimmer in other USS meets in which the swimmer may compete.  Swimmers are seeded in events according to their skill levels, derived from their latest achieved times for that event and which are designated by letters:  A, BB, C.  This system affords the swimmer the opportunity to compete against swimmers of equal abilities.  As the swimmers time for an event improves, s/he moves up to higher levels of competitiveness, thus always maintaining momentum to improve.  USS sanctioned meets are held throughout the year throughout the country.  Therefore, once a swimmer is registered, s/he can sign up for any USS Meet, anywhere in the country, providing the meet is not full.  This is a great opportunity if you have family in other parts of the country and can coordinate your travels with a scheduled event.  However, there are plenty of USS sanctioned meets right here in Pennsylvania affording our swimmers ample opportunities to compete beyond our dual meet schedule.  Just check on the list of USA sponsored invitational meets listed on our Invitationals Page.  Such meets are designated with the insignia of USA Swimming:
